My parents purchased this at Shirokiya while living in Hawaii in the mid to late seventies. The black lacquer Japanese style carriage is painted with red flowers and gold metal accent decals.
This beautiful brass bell and hammer was purchased by my grandfather when we lived in Hawaii in the late seventies. The bell is unmarked, so I do not know where it was made, but the etching and enamel suggest Asian or Indian origin.
