Original Copy of The Arizona Republic “Kennedy Slain” November 23, 1963 JFK Assassination

This is an original vintage copy of The Arizona Republic published on November 23, 1963, the day after president Kennedy was shot. The headline above the masthead reads “Pro-Castro Marxist Arrested, Charged as Assassin”. The main headline, in 1.125” high bold type, reads “KENNEDY SLAIN”. Below that is “Lyndon Johnson President”, “Marxist Accused As Sniper”, “Texas Governor Wounded by Slug”, and “Sworn In Aboard Airplane”. The now famous photo of Johnson being sworn in on the Presidential plane with Jackie Kennedy at his side, is in the lower right corner of the front page.

This is the complete and original paper and includes four sections. 

The newspaper will be shipped in an archival acid free bag and cardboard backer board to ensure no further damage.

Condition: Good Vintage Condition. Complete - 4 sections. Paper has yellowed over time. Two small tears, approximately 1.5 inches long, at the bottom of the paper below the swearing in photo. Minimal staining.
