Vintage Magic Kingdom Guide Book 1987 Park Map and Guidebook Walt Disney World Brochure
This is a vintage Magic Kingdom Guide Book and Park Map from 1987. The front cover features a full color photo of a performers in front of Cinderella’s Castle with the tag line “So Much More Than Ever Before”. Inside is information on park attractions, dining and shopping. The inside cover folds out to reveal a park map. Inside, each land is given 2 pages to include eighties land logos, a detailed map and information on attractions, rides, dining and shopping. Several full color photos border the pages. In the back of the brochure are 2 pages dedicated to the rest of the resort, highlighting the resorts, shopping and dining available, as well as a map of the property. There is also a page advertising Epcot. Also there is a page showcasing the coming attractions in the next two years including concept art for Pleasure Island, Typhoon Lagoon, the Grand Floridian Beach Resort and Disney/MGM Studios. The last page is dedicated to photo tips from Kodak, an ad for DuckTales and Lady and the Tramp on video. The back cover features and ad for Kodak film.
I found a cache of old Disney papers and pamphlets when helping my parents move recently. Unfortunately, the Florida heat and humidity is not kind to paper and plastics and many were virtually destroyed. Some were in good enough shape that I didn’t want to toss them, but not that great. Condition: Acceptable Vintage Condition. Staples have rusted, staining the cover and interior pages. Staining on most pages. The cover has come off the binding.
