Vintage Magic Kingdom Guide Book 1986 Park Map and Guidebook Walt Disney World Brochure
This is a vintage Magic Kingdom Guide Book and Park Map from 1986. The front cover features a full color photo of Cinderella’s Castle. Inside is information on park attractions, dining and shopping. The inside cover folds out to reveal a park map. Inside, each land is given 2 pages to include eighties land logos, a detailed map and information on attractions, rides, dining and shopping. Several full color photos border the pages. In the back of the brochure are 2 pages dedicated to the rest of the resort, highlighting the resorts, shopping and dining available, as well as a map of the property. 2 pages include Kodak photo tips and mention a guided tour entitled “Capturing the Magic”, a three hour “Disney Learning Adventure” teaching guests photography skills. There is also a page advertising Epcot. The inside back cover has advertisements for the Disney Channel and the rerelease of Sleeping Beauty in theaters. The back cover is an advertisement for Kodak film.
I found a cache of old Disney papers and pamphlets when helping my parents move recently. Unfortunately, the Florida heat and humidity is not kind to paper and plastics and many were virtually destroyed. Some were in good enough shape that I didn’t want to toss them, but not that great.
