Vintage Walt Disney World Advertising 1982 WDW Tencennial Pamphlet Collectible Brochure 1980s
This vintage pamphlet from the 1980s advertises the Tencennial of Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. The front cover includes an illustration of Mickey and Minnie aboard a parade float in front of Cinderella’s Castle as well as the brass band and a cast member selling Mickey balloons. Below the image is information on the new at the time “Unlimited Passport” tickets - in 1982 Walt Disney World has phased out all individual A-E tickets - and the guided tour. Inside is another graphic of the band and a man singing. The copy tells about all the 10th anniversary events - the Main Street Birthday Party, Tencennial parade and various shows throughout the Magic Kingdom. The following section advertises the Epcot Center Preview on Main Street U.S.A. Also mentioned are the famous special edition commemorative tickets available for purchase. The bottom portion of the second page has helpful tips such as complimentary same day admission, inclement weather canceling shows, shirts and shoes must be worn, etc. The back page promotes the Walt Disney World Village (Disney Village Marketplace, Downtown Disney, now Disney Springs).
I found a cache of old Disney papers and pamphlets when helping my parents move recently. Unfortunately, the Florida heat and humidity is not kind to paper and plastics and many were virtually destroyed. Some were in good enough shape that I didn’t want to toss them, but not that great. Be sure to closely inspect all photos using the zoom option and read our detailed description of the condition below.
