Vintage EPCOT Center Guide Book 1988 Park Map and Guidebook
Relive the best decade of Epcot Center at Walt Disney World with this vintage park map and guide from 1988. The cover page folds out to show a map of the park and attractions. The 20 page guide has detailed information on Epcot Center attractions, dining and shopping, as well as general guest information. There is a full page devoted to each classic attraction in Future World including full color photos, a simplified floor plan and information on the sights and sounds experienced within. Revisit the superior attractions of 1980s Epcot Center such as Horizons, World of Motion, Journey Into Imagination and more. For World Showcase, each country pavilion is given a half page for a floor plan, attraction, exhibit, shopping and dining information as well as full color photos of select countries. Also included is a page advertising other areas of the Walt Disney World Resort including “5 Sensational Resorts”, WDW Shopping Village (The Marketplace, Downtown Disney, now Disney Springs) and River Country, among others. Another page describes upcoming attractions, theme parks and resorts, specifically Pleasure Island, Typhoon Lagoon, the Grand Floridian Beach Resort, Norway at Epcot and The Disney/MGM Studios. Concept are for the Studios and Grand Floridian are included. The last page has photo tips from Kodak, and the inside cover includes advertisements for DuckTales and Lady and the Tramp on VHS.
I found a cache of old Disney papers and pamphlets when helping my parents move recently. Unfortunately, the Florida heat and humidity is not kind to paper and plastics and many were virtually destroyed. Some were in good enough shape that I didn’t want to toss them, but not that great. Condition: Acceptable Vintage Condition. Staples have rusted, staining the cover and interior pages. Ripples on interior from environmental moisture. Light staining on most pages. The cover has come off the binding at the top staple. Center page has completely separated from staples.
