Vintage Discovery Island Park Guide 1987 Walt Disney World Park Map
This is a rare and hard to find guide to Discovery Island at Walt Disney World. The 1987 guide to the now closed zoological park includes a park map and illustrated guide to the animals you would have seen in the park including kookaburras, turkeys, swans, flamingos, cranes, deer, cavies, alligators, eagles, tamarins, sparrows and lemurs.
I found a cache of old Disney papers and pamphlets when helping my parents move recently. Unfortunately, the Florida heat and humidity is not kind to paper and plastics and many were virtually destroyed. Some were in good enough shape that I didn’t want to toss them, but not that great.
