Vintage Vase with Hand Painted Bamboo Drawing on Textured Gray and White Body
This mid century black and white vase is another item purchased by my parents while they lived in Hawaii in the late seventies. Based on their memory, it was made in Japan. The vase has a bamboo design that has been hand painted on the body which has a white raised speckle finish on lighter grey. There is a smooth black accent line around the rim. The vase and hand painted areas are glazed for a glossy finish.
Condition: Very Good Vintage Condition. No chips, cracks, crazing or signs of repair. Two manufacturing issues - 3 black spots of paint on back, all under a layer of glaze and one raised piece of spare clay on the back near the bottom, also glazed over.
