Vintage State Serving Tray Alaska Souvenir Decorative Metal Plate
This black metal serving tray or decorative plate was a classic souvenir of travels in the fifties and sixties. The tray is black with dark, matte gold illustrations of the Alaska map, a totem pole, polar bear, radio tower and walrus. A large bunch of blue forget-me-nots, the Alaskan state flower, are printed on the bottom half. The edge is decorated with a wavy scallop design in black.
Condition: Good Vintage Condition. Faint spotting under front finish - possibly very minor rust, although it only appears as a slightly raised are. These spots are near the walrus on the left, by the words “Pacific Ocean and near Seward on the map. Minor wear and remnants of original price tag on back.
