Vintage Washington Brand Writing Tablet
This vintage writing tablet from the forties features a heavy kraft paper cover and thick cardboard backing. There is one blue blotter page and approximately 20 wide ruled pages - cream with blue lines. There is a contest advertised on the interior cover. Kids were to collect the letters of the word “Washington” that were printed inside to send in and win cool prizes. Some of the awards were watches, cameras, footballs, roller skates, and more. Saving and sending in the pictures of Washington on the front cover could win a child even more prizes. The biggest prizes, such as movie cameras and playground equipment, would be awarded to the school group that send in the most pictures and letters.
Use this vintage paper for crafts, letter writing or just as something cool to jot down notes.
